The Allgäuer Genussmanufaktur is a unique tourist destination in the region. The building of the former brewery in Urlau was revived and carefully restored as a cooperative of over 800 citizens. Since the opening in August 2019, 17 artisans and gourmet craftsmen have been producing and selling their products here on more than 1000 square meters.
Special features such as the Allgäu snuff tobacco factory, the teddy factory, the Allgäu Alphorn Academy or the white hall with its 15,000 antiquarian books complete the offer. Here visitors can not only buy products, but also watch brewing, baking, distilling, roasting, weaving, sewing, forging or pottery.
Interested parties can also book guided tours through the gourmet factory, where they can learn more about the history of the building, the idea behind the cooperative and key data on the gourmet and artisans. The pleasure manufactory is pure Allgäu and a destination for all fans of culinary experiences!
